My own impression is that, what staff are left at Firefly, are very amateurish indeed, as any professional outfit would never have put this on the market and taken money for it. Multiplayer is a no go as there is nobody to play! The graphics are awful, the landscapes are awful the game play is awful, the comic bits are awful, and is a shadow of the Stronghold 2 and Legends games.įirefly have blown it completely, the launch was a disaster and whilst the patches have enabled one to sort of play it, with no skirmish mode there is no further game play after the campaigns have been played. Steam was not an issue, although I personally consider it to be a massive mistake, the problem is the game is so very bad.įor someone to compare this with the ANNO series is seriously misleading folks like me. This comment prompted me to purchase Stronghold 3 on 15th May 2012. Someone wrote that he felt this game was now on a par with ANNO 1404, my favorite game by a wide margin. This year there have been a number of patches and some of the comments were that it was much improved although there is still a lot of criticism. I have read, with obvious interest, the many reviews of Stronghold 3 and therefore did not buy it last year. However, I do have the Stronghold series and have always enjoyed Stronghold 2 in particular. I have never before commented on a computer game and in fact have not played that many. If this was under £10 it would get 4* maybe a 5*.

1 was lost for the massive download it did for the Patch update. I would have given 5* but 1 was lost for No Skernish Mode. I'm in the process of designing several maps for this so they can be played online.Īll in all. But to get the best out of the game and to have a challenge I may have too. I'm not a fan really of playing this with other online players.

I really really hope SH3 in the future will have an update that adds 1. THe only thing I am really dissappointed in is No Skermish mode. So much better then any of the other SH games. Once the updates were done I started to play. I left it updating while I went shopping.

Once SH3 was installed it took it around 4 hours yes 4 hours to download and install the latest patch. The Bugs in the first 1 were far too many to name or make the game playable really.
